  • Honoring the Heroes: A Memorial Day Reflection

As Memorial Day arrives, we pause to remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. It’s more than just a long weekend—it’s a time to reflect, honor, and express gratitude to those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

Whether you’re spending the day with family, enjoying a cookout, or taking a quiet moment of reflection, we encourage you to remember the purpose of this day. Visit a local memorial, share a story of a fallen hero, or simply fly the flag in their honor.

In real estate, we talk often about the meaning of “home.” Today, we are reminded that our ability to enjoy home, peace, and safety is built on the courage of others.

From our hearts to yours—thank you to all who serve and to the families who have sacrificed. You are never forgotten.

Wishing you a meaningful and safe Memorial Day.

    Hidden Gems in your neighborhood.

Discovering the Charm Behind the Homes

There’s something special about Saturdays. Whether it’s the slow start to the morning, the smell of fresh coffee, or exploring with the family, it’s the perfect day to reconnect with your community. One of my favorite things about being a realtor is getting to know the places that make our area truly feel like home. Get out and explore!

    1. Find a local Coffee Shop – Your Morning Kickstart

Whether you’re meeting a friend or house hunting, it’s a great way to start your day.

    2. Visit a Local Market or Boutique. – Shop Small, Discover Big

Supporting small businesses not only keeps your dollars local, it helps build the vibrant community we all love.

    3. Walk Park or Trail – Breathe It All In

Looking for a little peace and quiet? Whether you’re walking the dog, taking the kids to the playground, or just enjoying some sunshine, find a spot that makes pure weekend magic.

    4. Stop by your Favorite Restaurant

Nothing tops off a weekend like enjoying your favorite meal at your go to Restaurant.

    5. The Real Estate Connection

Living in your community means more than just having a beautiful home—it means being part of a vibrant, welcoming community full of surprises. As a local realtor, I don’t just help people find homes—I help them find where they truly belong.

If you’re curious about what’s available near any of these gems, or just want to learn more about life in a particular community, I’d love to chat. Let’s turn your dream of living in this community into a reality.

  • Real Estate Myth Buster: “You Need 20% Down to Buy a Home”

Happy Friday, friends! Let’s kick off the weekend by clearing up one of the biggest myths I hear from buyers:

Myth: You need a 20% down payment to buy a home.

    Truth: Nope! You absolutely don’t.

While a 20% down payment can help you avoid private mortgage insurance (PMI), it’s not required to buy a home. In fact, many buyers—especially first-timers—qualify for mortgages with as little as 3% to 5% down. Some loan programs even offer zero down options for veterans and rural buyers!

Here’s a quick look at common options:

FHA Loans – As low as 3.5% down Conventional Loans – Some options start at 3% VA Loans – 0% down for eligible veterans USDA Loans – 0% down for rural property buyers

Bottom line: Don’t let the 20% myth keep you from moving forward. The best way to find out what’s possible is to speak with a lender and a trusted Realtor (that’s me!).

    Ready to explore your options?

Let’s chat this weekend—I’ll guide you every step of the way.
