  • “Why Summer is the Hottest Time to Sell”

Why Summer is the Hottest Time to Sell Your Home

Summer isn’t just for backyard BBQs and lake days—it’s also prime time for selling your home. If you’re thinking about listing, now might be your best opportunity. Here’s why summer sizzles in the real estate world—and how you can take advantage of it.

    1. More Buyers Are Looking

With school out and schedules more flexible, many buyers hit the market hard during the summer months. Families want to be settled before the new school year, and longer daylight hours mean more time for showings and open houses.

    2. Curb Appeal Is at Its Peak

Everything looks better in the summer—lush lawns, blooming flowers, and bright sunshine make homes shine. A well-kept yard and some colorful flowers can create a powerful first impression that gets buyers in the door fast.

    3. Homes Sell Faster and Closer to Asking Price

Historically, homes listed in the summer move faster and often get closer to (or above!) asking price. That’s because demand is high and inventory can’t always keep up.

    4. It’s Easier to Move

Moving is no fun—but it’s a whole lot easier when you’re not slipping on ice or battling cold weather. Summer makes for a smoother transition, whether you’re moving across town or across the country.

    5. Perfect Time to Show Off Outdoor Features

Have a great deck, pool, or outdoor kitchen? Summer lets buyers see your home at its best. Those features can become huge selling points when buyers imagine relaxing and entertaining in their new space.

    Thinking of selling? Let’s talk!

Even if you’re just curious what your home might be worth, I’m here to help. Summer won’t last forever—let’s make the most of it!

  • The History of Taco Tuesday: How This Tasty Tradition Began

Taco Tuesday is a beloved weekly ritual in homes and restaurants across the country—but have you ever wondered how it all started?

Where Did Taco Tuesday Come From?

The phrase “Taco Tuesday” might feel like a modern-day social media trend, but its roots go back decades. In fact, the term was reportedly first used as far back as the 1930s! Newspaper ads from El Paso, Texas, featured taco night promotions on—you guessed it—Tuesdays. The low-price promotions helped the idea catch on.

    The Trademark Twist

In 1989, a taco chain called Taco John’s, based in Wyoming, actually trademarked the term “Taco Tuesday” in 49 states. This created some controversy over the years, especially as the phrase became part of everyday culture. Eventually, Taco Bell pushed to “free” the phrase in 2023, and Taco John’s relinquished the trademark, making Taco Tuesday truly available for everyone to enjoy and promote freely.

    Why Tuesday?

Tuesdays were traditionally slower business days in the restaurant industry. By offering discounted tacos, eateries could bring in more customers. The catchy name, affordable price, and crave-worthy food combo made it an instant hit—and a delicious tradition was born.

    Taco Tuesday Today

Now, Taco Tuesday is more than a marketing hook. It’s a celebration of food, fun, and community. Families cook together. Friends meet up at their favorite taqueria. Social media feeds fill up with mouthwatering taco photos every Tuesday.

It’s safe to say: Taco Tuesday isn’t going anywhere.

    So now……
